Is anybody up for SCREENPRINTING induction next week?
If its still on.. I would love to make my first screenprints a handbook on how to screenprint. :)
What is their brief now anyways?
Does anybody read this site?
I think it would probably gain greater activity over summer holidays.

hey all, as our fellow adrien reminded me in his last email, "how's the new project going?". he did his fanzine for us two months ago which, you'll have to agree, kinda put us all to shame. I'm doing mine at the moment and were wondering if others from the group would join the project?

remember that if we wanna show some of our collective stuff at the show, it'd be nice to actually do some things.

Andreas Gursky in Wallpaper* #97

If any of you have the chance I recommend you pick up, or at least have a browse at the current Wallpaper* (March 2007, issue 97). Inside there are some mezmarising spreads of images taken by Gursky of mass rallies in North Korea. I think these photos were a special commision by Wallpaper* so it might be one of the only chances to see them.

Helvetica in the USA

Helvetica at MoMA
This Friday the Museum of Modern Art in New York will open a new exhibition: “50 Years of Helvetica” will be on display from April 6, 2007 to March 31, 2008, in the museum’s Architecture and Design Galleries on the third floor. In addition to posters and artifacts from MoMA’s collection and an original metal type font of Helvetica gifted by Lars Müller, “50 Years of Helvetica” includes Matthew Carter’s original Neue Haas Grotesk specimen book, an Experimental Jetset T-shirt, and a video excerpt from the documentary. It’s a real honor for me to be involved with MoMA on this project. If you’re in New York City anytime in the next year, be sure to pay a visit.

The International Herald Tribune did a nice story yesterday about Helvetica’s 50th, with quotes from MoMA curator Christian Larsen and Danny van den Dungen from Experimental Jetset.
